American League MVP Jose Altuve has come a long, long way. He signed with the Astros for $15,000 in 2007, made his major league debut in 2011, won the World Series with the Astros in 2017, was named AL MVP and now, it’s being reported that he’s going to sign a five-year, $150-million extension with Houston.

Texans star J.J. Watt congratulated his friend, who stands somewhere around 5-foot-6, with the perfect message on Twitter. Watt wrote to Altuve, “The stack of cash is gonna be wayyyy taller than you bro Jose Altuve!!! Congratulations brother, very well deserved!!!”

Altuve is definitely much shorter than other sports stars, but he’s no less talented.

Watt added that he “couldn’t be happier” for Altuve while reflecting on the second baseman’s journey.

The other congratulations are going to be rolling in.
