Monday will be a memorable and chaotic evening in Detroit sports.

Justin Verlander, one of the franchise’s best pitchers, makes his return to Comerica Park one year after being traded to Houston. He will pitch against the Tigers in Detroit for the first time, but it will be the second time this season. The Tigers fared well in the first game July 15, winning 6-3, as Verlander allowed six runs on six hits in six innings. Verlander struck out 12.
