LeBron James: Donald Trump ‘don’t give a f— about the people'

LeBron James hasn’t changed his opinion on Donald Trump.

On Thursday, UNINTERRUPTED released a video of James alongside Kevin Durant and Cari Champion. The talk included a number of topics, including James doubling down on calling Trump a “bum” on Twitter back in September.

“The climate is hot,” James said. “The No. 1 job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesn’t understand the people. And really don’t give a f— about the people. When I was growing up, there was like three jobs that you looked (to) for inspiration. It was the president of the United States, it was whoever was the best in sports and then it was like the greatest musician at the time. You never thought you could be them, but you can grab inspiration from them.”

“It’s at a bad time. While we can not change what comes out of that man’s mouth, we can continue to alert the people that watch us, that listen to us, ‘This is not the way,’” James said. “It’s not even a surprise when he says something. It’s like laughable. It’s laughable and it’s scary.”

Durant, as someone who has also spoken out against Trump, shared his thoughts as well.

“When we’re talking about leadership, and what’s going on in our country, it’s all about leadership,” Durant said. “And I learned that from basketball, I learned a lot of life skills from playing basketball. You need to empower people, you need to encourage people. And that’s what builds a great team. And I feel like our team as a country is not ran by a great coach.”

Shohei Ohtani will be one player on ESPN Fantasy Baseball

Shohei Ohtani will be one player on ESPN Fantasy Baseball

The Angels may have their own decision to make on how to utilize Shohei Ohtani, but Fantasy Baseball websites also have to figure out what to do with the two-way star.

It seems that they’ve made a decision, with ESPN announcing Wednesday that Ohtani will count as one player, with fantasy players having the option to use him as a pitcher or hitter each scoring period — but not both simultaneously.

Shohei Ohtani will be one player on ESPN and CBS, but two players on Yahoo.

ESPN becomes the latest fantasy entity to make a decision, joining CBS in making him one player. However, Yahoo will have the Japanese phenom as two players: Ohtani the hitter and Ohtani the pitcher.

So if you play Yahoo, you’ll need to draft Ohtani twice and play both to receive points for the whole package. If you’re on ESPN or CBS, however, there will be a tough choice to be made in taking him.

Justin Verlander 'can think of a reason' Yanks aren't favorites

Justin Verlander 'can think of a reason' Yanks aren't favorites

Justin Verlander isn’t impressed by the Yankees.

MLB Network host Chris Russo praised the Yankees’ offseason moves, namely the acquisition of Giancarlo Stanton and the hiring of Aaron Boone as manager, and said that the Bombers were the obvious American League favorites.

“There’s no way you can’t think that the Yankees are the team to beat in the American League,” Russo said.

That’s a peculiar statement given that the Astros won the pennant before ultimately defeating the Dodgers to win the World Series.

Boone on ‘surreal’ Yankees camp: ‘Hunger in these guys is real’

That’s obviously how Verlander felt, taking obvious exception to Russo’s proclamation.

“I can think of a reason,” Verlander replied on Twitter.

Verlander, who was acquired at the Aug. 31 non-waiver trading deadline last season, helped guide the Astros to their World Series Championship.

The 34-year-old was particularly dominant against the Yankees in the ALCS, allowing just one earned run in 16 innings (0.56 ERA) on his way to earning ALCS MVP honors.
