WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Emmanuel Rivera hit a two-run single in the third inning, leading the Wilmington Blue Rocks to a 5-3 win over the Potomac Nationals on Monday.

Bryan Brickhouse struck Blake Perkins out with a runner on first to end the game for his fifth save of the season.

The single by Rivera scored Kort Peterson and D.J. Burt to give the Blue Rocks a 2-1 lead.

After Wilmington added a run in the fifth when Brandon Downes hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Burt, the Nationals tied the game in the sixth inning when Carter Kieboom scored on a forceout and Tres Barrera hit an RBI double.

The Blue Rocks took the lead for good in the sixth when Peterson hit a solo home run.

Peterson homered and singled twice, scoring two runs for Wilmington.

Starter Arnaldo Hernandez (4-0) got the win while Mariano Rivera (0-1) took the loss in relief in the Carolina League game.

For the Nationals, Kieboom doubled and singled, scoring two runs.
