TAMPA — When Brian Cashman called Aaron Judge with the possibility of acquiring Giancarlo Stanton, the answer was simple.
Judge and Stanton have become the faces of a potentially lethal lineup of Bronx Bombers.
“He’s ready for New York. He wants to win,” Judge said of Stanton during a press conference Wednesday.
As for his left shoulder, which required surgery, Judge replied: “We’re on the right track.”
Judge did say he could miss some games early in the spring but his focus is on being ready for Opening Day.

He said his shoulder bothered him after the All-Star break.
“Midway through the season (it happened) but it came down to can you play and I could play,” Judge said.
“I felt it would be best to do (the surgery) offseason.”
Judge just started batting practice and said his shoulder feels good.
